Social enterprise MAJOLIKA-R, S.R.O.

The company Majolika-R, s.r.o. is a public benefit enterprise, the main goal of which is to achieve a measurable positive social impact of the provision of joint utility services in the area of:

• creation, development, protection, restoration and presentation of spiritual and cultural values
• services to support regional development and employment

The idea of employing handicapped and disadvantaged people arose about eighteen years ago, when we had the first handicapped employees in our workshop. We acquired the official form as a Sheltered Workshop in 2011.

In terms of providing a socially beneficial employment support service, the Company employs vulnerable and disadvantaged people. By employing them, the Company pursues the goal of their (re) social inclusion.

In terms of providing a socially beneficial service of creation, development, protection, renewal and presentation of spiritual and cultural values, our company preserves the heritage of our fathers - Slovak folk majolica for future generations.Our manufactory - Slovak folk majolica is the last in Slovakia with the production of traditional „cervenica“ (clay for the production of majolica). The material is made from Slovak components only. Preservation of Slovak folk traditions by training and teaching people from disadvantaged groups, or with disabilities. Original methods - hand-turned products on a potter's wheel made of their own clay. Our mission is to work with handicapped and disadvantaged people.
